DIY: Stained Coffee Table
Step 1
Start by sanding the coffee table down getting
rid of that top coat shine.
I used 100 grit sand paper and an electric
sander, but any sand paper from 100-220 will do. I also used a small sanding
block in the hard to reach places.

Once you have finished sanding the shine from
the coffee table, grab a piece of tack cloth, or a damp towel and wipe off all
excess dust. Make sure to get corner well, if all the dust isn't removed the
stain will go on lumpy!

Step 3
Apply the stain with a 3 inch paint brush. Use long even strokes when painting while making your way across the entire coffee table. Be sure to get any paint brush bristles that may shed in the process and make sure to get the insides of the legs too!

Step 4
After your first coat is complete, wait one to
two hours before applying our second coat of stain. I always do
at least two coats of stain when refinishing furniture.
Step 5
Go over the finished project with polyurethane
spray to seal everything in and Enjoy!
